Our Uniqueness

Grace Christian School provides an alternative to the conventional classroom  experience.  We facilitate a one-room schoolhouse style classroom where multiple grades of students meet in a single room.  K-3rd grades meet in one room and 4th-6th grades meet in another, with one teacher for each classroom.  Intermittently, K-6th grades meet all together.

This family friendly environment provides a number of opportunities for elementary-aged children.  We have observed that older children are more apt to nurture younger ones in this setting.  At break times, children of all ages play together.  Students also learn to study independently in this setting while teachers work with the different grades.

We maintain very small class sizes, which enable our teachers to provide a considerable amount of individual instruction.  Teachers also have greater opportunity to make an interpersonal connection with students, learning each one's temperament, strengths, and weaknesses.  Knowing these things about a student helps the teacher determine how best to motivate, encourage, and discipline different personality types.
